We may be blue, but we’re riding for red!
Will you sponsor our team for Heart & Stroke?
What we’re doing
We’re riding the Big Bike on June 5th! Our goal is to raise $2,500, and we’re already at $1,000!
This will be our third time riding. We raised over $14,000 between 2011 and 2014 combined. We may be small, but we’re able to make a difference.
Why we’re riding
It’s disheartening that most of us know someone who has been affected by heart disease and/or stroke. Here are a couple stories from our team.
“A friend of ours had a major stroke on his 50th birthday last year and passed away three days later. It was quite unexpected as he had no health issues leading up to it happening. He left behind his wife and three kids.”
Melissa Proulx, Accounting Assistant
“My grandmother survived a heart attack in her late 60s. She’s still with us over 15 years later. I also witnessed one of my best friends survive a grade 5 aneurysm and severe stroke simultaneously at the age of 33. It left her partially paralyzed and speech impaired, but she’s an example of strength and endurance.”
Colleen Kiriakos, Agent
The good news is medical research is increasing prevention and recovery. The money we raise will primarily go toward medical research.
