Community Involvement

Dumfries Mutual is a local insurance company, owned by its policyholders.  That’s why it is important for us to give back to the community that supports us.  Dumfries Mutual is a strong supporter of 4H, community events and other charities.

As the oldest Ontario farm mutual, our history is rooted in the rural community; this prompts Dumfries Mutual to support numerous agricultural societies.  Every year these local agricultural societies put on local fairs that are a tradition that goes back almost as far as the creation of mutual insurance companies themselves.  They also serve a need of educating urbanites on the food chain.

Dumfries Mutual is continuously looking for ways to support its community.  We are proud to support agriculture associations, 4H, local youth programs, charities, healthcare associations and local individual causes.
